Feeling Supported At Work

About the Video

In April 2020, American burnout expert Dr. Tait Shanafelt and colleagues carried out a series of listening sessions with healthcare workers in the throes of COVID-19 outbreaks. They identified eight key concerns and five requests that healthcare workers need to feel supported at work.

The study concludes that “genuine expressions of gratitude” in the workplace are essential.

In this session, Françoise Mathieu and Diana Tikasz explore feeling supported at work including recommendations to help counteract workplace cynicism and disengagement.
